The Tourism Management Department of Balıkesir University's Faculty of Tourism has been offering undergraduate and evening education since the Fall Semester of 2014. Postgraduate thesis-based Master's and Doctoral programs are also offered within the Department of Tourism Management.

The Tourism Management Department aims to train qualified professionals and mid- and upper-level management candidates for the tourism sector by providing a scientific and high-quality education. To this end, the Department aims to cultivate qualified professionals and management candidates who are fluent in foreign languages, capable of strong interpersonal skills, analytical thinking, problem-solving, management, and organizational skills, possess core social values ​​such as tolerance, courtesy, respect, and honesty, and possess leadership and representational skills. Additionally, students receive English and German as foreign languages ​​throughout their education, and an elective foreign language course, Russian, is offered upon request, starting in the third year.
